(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On February 23, 2017, at approximately 7:08 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible impaired driver travelling southbound on Richmond Street.
Officers located the motor vehicle, a white Pontiac car, near Thirteen Mile Road and conducted a traffic stop. It was determined that the 60-year-old female driver had been drinking alcohol. She was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests.
As a result of the police investigation, Brenda THOMSON, from Lucan Biddulph, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol and drug), driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on March 23, 2017.
