On the 17th of August 2013 at approximately 8:30 pm, a female driver was travellling north on Maple Ave when she went off the road and smashed into a building located near the corner of Ross Street. The accident caused minimal damage to the vehicle, but the residence had some significant structural damage.
Police attended to investigate the accident and discovered the female had been drinking alcohol. Police arrested the female for impaired care and control where she was transported to the station in order to provide a sample of her breath.
Upon the completion of the test it was discovered the female was more than one and a half times the legal limit. She was charged with the additional offence of over 80 mgs.
