The Owen Sound Police Service arrested an impaired driver late Saturday afternoon.
Shortly after 5:00 PM a citizen called police to report that a pick-up truck was being driven in a highly erratic manner. The caller had followed the truck eastbound on 10th Street West.
Members of the Owen Sound Police Service observed the truck driving up the 10th Street East hill. The truck was seen to be weaving across both lanes of traffic and into oncoming traffic. Police boxed in the truck at 10th Street East and 8th Avenue East.
The driver, a 58 year-old Kincardine man, was arrested at the scene. He was subsequently brought to the Owen Sound Police station for breath tests, where he blew more than three times the legal limit.
He has been released on a promise to appear for a court date in January.
