On November 8, 2013 at 3:29 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop on Speedvale Avenue East near Stevenson Street. Police had observed the male driving his motor assisted bicycle on battery power only and without a front headlight. The male driver was spoken too and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. The male failed the roadside and was subsequently arrested.
A 32-year-old Guelph man has been charged with drive over 80 mg and breach officer in charge undertaking. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on November 8, 2013.
