Drunk Driver Caught In Palmerston – Name Released

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On April 22, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m. an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop in Palmerston, Town of Minto.

While speaking with the male driver, the officer detected the odour of alcohol on his breath. The driver was arrested after failing the Roadside Screening Device test, and was transported to a local OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

47-year-old Heinrich WALL of Moorefield has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 5, 2017 to answer to the charge. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
