(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Thursday December 03, 2015, shortly before 12:30 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint called in by a citizen. The citizen had observed a small blue Subaru swerving all over the road as it was travelling southbound on Hwy 23 north of Listowel.
Officers immediately patrolled the area and located the Subaru in Listowel. The vehicle was pulled over by police on Davidson Ave South and the male driver was spoken to. The driver displayed signs of impairment by alcohol and was arrested for impaired driving. He was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Listowel, where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
33-year-old Daniel Gregory CARE of London has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences; “Driving while ability impaired by alcohol”, and “driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on December 16, 2015, where he will have to answer to the charges.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his motor vehicle has been impounded for a period of seven days.
