On December 21, 2015 at 2:00 a.m., a 42 year old male was stopped for operating his vehicle at a rate of speed of 186km/hr in a posted 80km/hr zone on Arthur street South in Woolwhich Township. The male was immediately arrested at the scene without incident for the offence of Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and Stunting (speeding in excess of 50 km/hr. While the officer was dealing with the male party, he was subsequently arrested for Operation of a Motor Vehicle over 80 and later release. He was charged with the following allegations: – Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle – Operation Over 80 – Speeding 186 km/hr in a 80 km/hr zone – Stunting – Excessive speed The Waterloo Regional Police want to remind our community as we approach the holiday season to slow down, arrive alive and please, do not drink and drive.
