A 24 year old Owen Sound man has been charged with drinking and driving after being stopped in a R.I.D.E program. On Saturday evening Owen Sound Police conducted R.I.D.E. checks in the 100 block of 14th Street West. It was determined that the man been drinking and he subsequently failed a roadside test. He was transported to the station and failed a breathalyzer test. He has been charged with operating a motor vehicle over 80 milligrams and is scheduled to appear in the Owen Sound Court of the 08th of May.
The Owen Sound Police Service conduct R.I.D.E. checks regularly 12 months of the year.
