Drunk Driver Busted

On the 25th of August 2013 at approximately 2 am police received a call to assist ambulance as a female was intoxicated and was becoming aggressive with the medics. Upon police arrival, officers determined that the female was indeed intoxicated but was not in need of medical attention. Police requested that the female stay with a friend to ensure she was safe in her intoxicated state.

Minutes later a male friend attended the residence to assist with the female. When he arrived police observed that he had been drinking. Officers questioned the male on how he attended the residence to which he replied that ‘he had walked.’

Police later observed the male attend to a vehicle in the area, climb into the driver seat and commence to operate the vehicle. Police immediately stopped the vehicle and arrested the male for impaired care and control. The male later provided a sample of his breath where it was determined he was nearly twice the legal limit.

Police want to remind everyone that if you drink don’t drive, especially when you are called by a friend who requires assistance on behalf of the police!!
