Drunk Driver Arrested – VANDERHOEFF

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On September 10, 2017, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded the reports of a suspected impaired driver on Victoria Street, Village of Glencoe.

It was reported that a motorist had entered a private driveway, possibly in error. Once on the property, witnesses became concerned that the driver was impaired.

The officer determined that the 42-year-old male driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to an OPP detachment for breath tests. The driver’s blood-alcohol level was more than double the legal limit.

As a result of the police investigation, Franciscus VANDERHOEFF, of Bothwell, ON, has been charged with Impaired Driving and Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).

The accused’s vehicle has been seized for 7 days and his Driver’s Licence has been suspended for 90 days.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on October 5, 2017.
