Type: Impaired Driving
Locations: Paris Road
Incident: On Thursday June 9, 2016 at 10:55pm, Police received a public complaint regarding the driving of a vehicle northbound along Paris Road. Information indicated that the vehicle was all over the road” and was “side swiping curbs”. Police intercepted this vehicle at the intersection of Paris Road and Tollgate Road and subsequently conducted a traffic stop at Conklin Crescent and Tollgate Road.
The 35 year old Brantford female driver was stopped and arrested for Impaired Operating of a Motor Vehicle. Her breath readings were almost 1 1/2 times the legal limit. Her vehicle was seized and her driver’s license was suspended for 6 months as well as being charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80 blood alcohol.”
