Drunk Driver Arrested On London Road Near Blyth – BLOM

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a female driver with Driving a Motor Vehicle With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol following a traffic stop that took place early Monday morning.

Around 3:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 a Huron OPP officer stopped a Ford F150 pickup truck that was travelling southbound on London Road just north of Blyth. Upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer detected the odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a fail. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. She subsequently provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of her samples registered over the legal limit.

Corneila BLOM, 49 years of age from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 15, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

She received an automatic 90-day driver’s licence suspension and her motor vehicle was towed and impounded.
