Drunk Driver 3X Legal Limit Tries To Escape By Squeezing Through Bars

Occurrence Type: Impaired Driver

Occurrence #: BA15005903

Date: Friday, February 6, 2015 – 4:00am

Just after midnight on February 6th, 2015, police responded to a call of driver that had put
their vehicle up onto a snow bank at the intersection of Ross Street and Toronto Street and was not able to get their vehicle out of the snow.

When police arrived on scene, the found that the lone 23-year-old female in the vehicle was extremely intoxicated. She was arrested and transported to the station where she provided breath samples and was found to be almost 3 times the legal limit.

The female continued her impaired behavior while in custody in the holding cells. In her drunken state she felt that she would have the ability to squeeze through the bars and numerous times she attempted to get out of the cell despite the fact that the opening between the bars is only inches in width. Obviously alcohol not only clouded her judgement to make a bad decision to drive impaired but also made her believe that she was made of rubber and could squeeze herself through the bars of a cell.

She will appear in court in March for Impaired Operation and Over 80.
