On Monday, May 8th, 2015 at approx. 0158Hrs, members of the Barrie Police were on routine patrol in the downtown core. Police conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle and made observation that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for Impaired and taken to the station. A breath test revealed that the male had two times the legal amount of alcohol in his system, therefore, the driver faces an additional charge of Over .80. He was lodged in cells until sober and released with a future court date.
