On the 8th of September 2014 at 1:45pm police on motorcycle patrol in the area of Highview Drive and Driftwood Drive in Kitchener observed a male youth riding a bicycle without a helmet and failing to obey a traffic sign. When the officer approach to speak to the male, the cyclist failed to properly identify himself. The cyclist, a 17 year old Kitchener male, was issued Provincial Offence notices for offences that include Failing to identify himself, Failing to wear proper helmet; and Disobeying a Stop Sign. Waterloo Regional Police remind all road users to comply with rules of the road in the interest of public safety.
