On September 8, 2014, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service arrested two adult males, both of Cambridge, for Trafficking and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Controlled Substance. The males were searched and found to be in possession of quantities of heroin, crystal methamphetamine, marihuana, and Canadian currency. A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was later executed at the residence of one of the males. Further quantities of methamphetamine and heroin were located and seized by police, along with brass knuckles, a prohibited weapon. Both males face a number of drug-related charges and were released from police custody on a Promise to Appear in court. A female acquaintance was also arrested and charged with the drug related offences and the brass knuckles that were seized inside the residence
