On Sunday August 23rd 2015 the Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to a complaint of a male driving a motor vehicle and pointing a firearm at other motor vehicles. The subject vehicle was located nearby the original complaint and all parties inside the vehicle were arrested as a result by police. The firearm located inside of the vehicle was a replica airsoft carbine rifle. Also located inside the vehicle was approximately 30 grams of marihuana. Two of the three parties were released unconditionally, and the driver of the vehicle was charged with pointing a firearm, possess weapons dangerous and possession for the purpose of trafficking a substance included in Schedule II under the controlled drugs and substances act. The driver was released on a promise to appear with an officer in charge undertaking.
