Barrie Police responded to the area of Blake Street after noon hour today in regards to a male and female that appeared to be involved in a verbal arguement. Investigating officers arrived and spoke with a 26 year old woman who immediately explained to the officers that she was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant with Barrie Police for failing to attend court.
She then went on to explain that she had been arguing with her on again off again boyfriend over money issues pertaining to not being able to purchase illegal drugs. He got angry with the whole situation and turned over a table which caused damage to a broken television set. She was not injured during this incident.
The 28 year old man and the young woman, both local residents were arrested and taken into custody. She was charged with the outstanding warrant for failing to attend court and he was criminally charged with Domestic Mischief for damaging property. They will remain in jail until Bail hearing on August 2nd in answer to the charges.
