In the fall of 2014 residents of the Market District in downtown Kitchener contacted Police regarding their concerns about a residence in the neighborhood. As a result, members of the Central Division C.O.R.E. Unit began an investigation into the activities at the residence. On the 29th of January 2015 at 7:30 am members of the Waterloo Regional Police Emergency Response Unit and Central Division C.O.R.E. Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at 87 Weber St.E. in the City of Kitchener. One adult male and one adult female were taken into police custody. The male is charged with drug and weapon related offences. The female was arrested on outstanding warrants. Waterloo Regional Police would like to thank the community for their assistance in the investigation and encourage all residents to report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.
