(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On October 13, 2017 at approximately 2:25 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Highway 6 & 21, Springmount, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs, which resulted in the arrest of four males.
After detecting a strong odor of marihuana and observing plant material believed to be marihuana inside the vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, officers searched the vehicle and seized a large amount of raw cannabis marihuana.
Four males between the ages of 16 and 18, from Saugeen First Nations, Owen Sound and Saugeen Shores, were each charged with Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA). One of the accused was also charged with three counts of Fail to Comply with Court Order.
They are scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on November 7, 2017
