On the evening of August 29th, 2014 members of the Owen Sound Police Drug unit, with the assistance of the Criminal Investigations Branch and the Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant for drugs at a west side apartment. Two Owen Sound residents, a 46 year old female and her 49 year old husband, were arrested at the scene. The search resulted in the seizure of 24 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2400.00 and alleged cash proceeds of nearly $3000.00. Police also seized scales and drug packaging. The pair remain in custody pending a bail hearing each charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
