Drug Bust In Mitchell – Britt ETHERINGTON, Michael MCLAUGHLIN & Dylan SIGL Face Charges

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Wednesday July 23, 2014, around 11 p.m. Perth and Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers with the assistance of Stratford Police Service, the OPP West Region canine unit, and the OPP West Region Emergency Response team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant at a residence on William Street in Mitchell.

As a result of the execution of the warrant, police charged three males with Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) and CDSA offences. A quantity of suspected drugs were seized, they include Cannabis Marihuana, Cocaine, and Methamphetamine. The estimated combined street value of these drugs is $670

The following three males have been charged in relation to this warrant:

Britt ETHERINGTON (35) from the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with; “assault with intent to resist arrest”, and “fail to comply with probation order” contrary to the CCC. He has also been charged with “possession of a controlled substance, Cannabis Marihuana” contrary to the CDSA. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on August 18, 2014, to answer to these charges.

Michael MCLAUGHLIN (31) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with; “fail to comply with a recognizance” contrary to the CCC. He has also been charged with “possession of a controlled substance Cannabis Marihuana”, and “possession of Cocaine” contrary to the CDSA. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on July 30, 2014, to answer to these charges.

Dylan SIGL (19) of Stratford has been charged with; “fail to comply with undertaking” contrary to the CCC. He has also been charged with “possession of a controlled substance Cannabis Marihuana”, and “possession of Methamphetamine” contrary to the CDSA. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on August 18, 2014, to answer to these charges.
