Drug Bust In Hanover – Female Dragged By Vehicle – Jeremy Steven HALK, Tracy Kropf & Justin Wayne Hillier Face Numerous Charges

On Tuesday, July 22nd ,2014 shortly after 9am members of the Hanover Police Service responded to a report of a domestic dispute in a parking lot of a motet located in the 200 block of 7th Avenue in Hanover. HPS officers arrived on scene to discover that a female from Brampton was assaulted and dragged by a vehicle a short distance in the motel parking lot by her common law husband. lt was learned that the male suspect had fled the scene in a rental vehicle after the altercation and just prior to police arrival.

Inside the motel unit, while speaking with the female victim, HPS officers noticed some methamphetamine ready for use. while questíoning the female about the methamphetamine the male suspect returned to the motel unit. Both the male and female were taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.

While HPS officers were searching the male suspect, officers discovered a baggy in his pants pocket. The arresting officer was attempting to recover the baggy when the suspect became upset and began struggling causing the HPS officer and the suspect to fall to the ground. The male suspect broke free and fled the scene on foot. The male suspect fled through backyards and officers gave chase. The male suspect was captured after being pepper sprayed.

Later that evening, HPS officers executed a search warrant on the suspect’s motel unit and seized 236 grams of methamphetamine valued at $39,450, 976 grams of packaged marihuana bud valued at $19,520 along with loaded methamphetamine needles. During the investígation, HPS offícers also seized over $15,000 in cash and other evidence that indicated the suspects were trafficking the drugs.

Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a third suspect late Tuesday night who was determined to be connected to the trafficking investigation.

The Hanover Police Service has charged Jeremy Steven HALK, age 28 of Brampton with domestic assault, mischief, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, assaulting a police officer, escaping lawful custody, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marihuana for the purpose
of trafficking. lt was determined that Jeremy Halk had just been released from custody on July 21
