Drug Bust – 13 People Face 56 Charges

Thirteen to be charged following undercover OSPS/OPP joint forces investigation.

Thirteen people face a total of fifty six charges following a month long joint forces investigation conducted by the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit and the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit.

The investigation focused on street level drug trafficking in the downtown core of Owen Sound. An undercover police officer was utilized in the investigation and purchased small quantities of Morphine, Fentanyl, Ritalin and Marihuana from the accused.

On Thursday members of both police services executed two search warrants and arrested several persons across the City. Police further seized scales, drug packaging, a debt list and cash.

The following have been arrested and remain in police custody pending bail hearings on Friday morning. Arrest warrants will be sought for at least two others.
