On the 28th of April 2014, members of the Barrie Police Street Crime Drug Unit conducted a drug investigation in the area of Little Avenue and Young Street. During their investigation three males were arrested and found to be in possession of cocaine. Subsequent to the arrest of the males, a search warrant was executed on a nearby residence where an additional quantity of cocaine and marihuana was seized.
A 19 year old Barrie male was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (Cocaine) and breach of probation. The second 16 year old male also from Barrie was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine), possession of a controlled substance x2 (Cocaine and Marihuana), weapons dangerous. The third male was released unconditionally.
All parties were released with a future court date.
