DROWNING AT COMMUNITY POOL
(GODERICH, ON) – On January 19, 2013 at 4:37 p.m. Huron OPP Officers along with Huron County paramedics responded to a 9-1-1 call at the YMCA pool located on Suncoast Drive East in Goderich.
Lifeguards removed a female teenager from the deep end of the pool. She was found unresponsive and the lifeguards immediately started emergency life-saving measures.
She was transported to Alexandra Marine & General Hospital in Goderich, and then air lifted to Children’s Hospital – London Health Sciences Centre in London.
14 year old Sarah HENRY-MILLS of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh died at Children’s Hospital in London on January 21, 2013.
Huron OPP is continuing to investigate with the assistance of the Coroner’s office. Anyone with information that can assist is asked to call the Huron OPP or Crime Stoppers.
