Driver Tries To Avoid RIDE – Stolen Vehicle Recovered

(GODERICH, ON) On December 2, 2011 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Huron County OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E check on Suncoast Drive East in Goderich when a green Mercury Grand Marquis caught their attention. Officers observed the vehicle suddenly pull into a parking lot and then turn around to avoid the spot check.

Officers followed the car and were able to locate it at a residence on Oxford Street. A search of the area was conducted however the male driver was not located. Further investigation revealed the car had been stolen from a business on Suncoast Drive East. Investigation is continuing in an effort to determine the identity of the driver.

Please don’t make your vehicle a target for a criminal. Always secure your vehicle and remove all valuables.
