(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Friday July 19, 2013, around 6 p.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Perth Line 55 at Road 174 (west of Monkton).
Upon arrival at the scene, the officer determined that a Honda Civic had approached the T intersection in a south bound direction on Road 174. The driver had disregarded the stop sign, crossed Perth Line 55 and entered the south ditch. The driver, a 19 year old female from Huron East admitted to playing with her GPS unit just prior to impacting the ditch. She has been charged with careless driving”.
Motorists are urged to have their “eyes on the road and hands on the wheel”.
