Driver Loses Control Hits Parked Cars, Tree And Front Porch

On October 2, 2016, at 2 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Copper Leaf Crescent in Kitchener. Upon arrival, it was determined that the driver of a motor vehicle had lost control and struck two other parked motor vehicles in the area. The driver then drove over the front lawn of a nearby home and hit a large rock and tree. The vehicle came to rest after striking a concrete porch. A 42-year-old Kitchener man was taken to Grand River Hospital with serious lower body injuries. A 10-year-old Kitchener child, who was sitting in the front passenger seat of the motor vehicle at the time, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Neither the driver nor the child were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision. Investigation into the collision is continuing and charges are pending.
