(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday September 02, 2014, at 7:20 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a serious two vehicle collision at the intersection of Perth Road 112 and Line 29 (south of Stratford).
Investigation indicated that a Dodge Caravan travelling west bound on Line 29, failed to stop at the stop sign controlled intersection and collided with a Honda Civic travelling south bound on Perth Road 112. The impact caused both vehicles to roll into the ditch and field located in the south west corner of the intersection. The Dodge landed upright while the Honda landed on its roof. The Township of Perth East Fire Department attended and extricated the driver of the Honda.
The female driver of the Dodge a 53 year old St.Marys resident was transported to local hospital with major injuries. The female driver of the Honda, a 60 year old Woodstock resident was transported by air ambulance to a London Hospital with major injuries.
The Perth County OPP is continuing their investigation into this collision.
