(HURON EAST, ON) – A 27 year old driver from Bluewater was recently served with a three day suspension following a traffic stop on November 30, 2013. At approximately 1:20 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.DE.) program when they observed the driver of a GMC Sierra pickup attempt to avoid a checkpoint set up near the Seaforth Community Centre. Officers were able to locate and stop the truck a short distance away on Huron Road. Upon speaking with the driver the officer detected the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension.
The 27 year old driver from Bluewater was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.
