Driver Dies In Single Vehicle Crash

(MEAFORD, ON) – On June 1st, 2012 at 10:34 am, the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash on Collingwood Street in Meaford. Officers attended with Grey County Ambulance paramedics and the Meaford Fire Department to find a White GMC “Horizon Carpet Care” van had collided with a telephone pole.

The driver, 63 year old Robert Kerr or Owen Sound, was transported to the Meaford hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
