(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – A 62-year-old driver from Seaforth will have to make a court appearance later this summer after she was charged with Racing earlier today (13July). At 12:33 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck travelling northbound on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway at a high rate of speed. The officer used a RADAR device to measure the truck’s speed at 130 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver came to a stop near Brindley Beach Road.
Shirley HUGILL, 62 years of age from Seaforth has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. Her licence has been suspended for seven days and her truck has been impounded for the next week. Her court appearance is scheduled for September 1, 2015 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich.
