Drinking Driver Hits Hydro Pole, Parked Car Then Cross Road And Hits Fence – 3 Day Suspension

On Saturday August 13, 2016 at approximately 5:25pm, a 64 year old Cambridge resident was operating a motor vehicle on Fisher Mills Road in the City of Cambridge. The male lost control of the vehicle which had crossed over the oncoming lane of traffic, jumped the curb and struck a hydro pole and struck a parked car.

The vehicle then continued back onto the roadway, crossing over both lanes of traffic, jumping the other curb and crashing into a fence. The man was treated on scene for minor injuries. The driver provided a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device and as a result was issued a three day driving suspension. He was also charged with Careless Driving. As a result of the collision, there was damage to the siding of a house valued at approximately $5,000.00. Damage to the fence is estimated at approximately $1,000.00.
