(GODERICH, ON) – A 46-year-old from Goderich was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension following a traffic stop that took place in Goderich on Monday, November 28th, 2016. At approximately 6:00 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer received information about a possible impaired driver travelling from the north on Highway 21 into Goderich.
Officers began patrolling for the suspect vehicle and about an hour later an officer spotted the van travelling on Maitland Road in Goderich. A traffic stop was completed and while speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been consuming some alcohol. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a “Warn”. As a result the 46-year-old male driver from Goderich was served with a 3-day driver’s licence suspension.
