(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A Stratford resident was issued a 3-day suspension this past weekend following a traffic stop outside of Clinton. At approximately 10:17 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 a mini-van entered into a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint that was set up at the intersection of Bayfield Road and Telephone Road.
Upon speaking with the female driver the investigating officer detected she had been drinking alcohol. The driver admitted she had been drinking the night before. She was tested on the approved roadside screening device and she registered a “Warn”. As a result, the 47-year-old driver was served with an automatic 3-day driver’s licence suspension.
