Downtown Fight Leads To Arrest

On Thursday, September 19, 2013, at 1:26 a.m., members of the Guelph Police attended to the area of a Carden Street establishment in relation to a disturbance. Three males had previously been removed from the establishment for an altercation that had taken place inside. Now outside, one male sought out the other two, to continue the altercation. As police arrived, the lone male fled the scene, leading the police on a foot chase in the downtown. When the male was apprehended, he falsely identified himself to the police.
An 18 year old Cambridge male has been charged with cause disturbance by fighting, obstruct police and three counts of breach of probation. He will appear for a bail hearing on September 19th, 2013.
