Downtown Altercation

On Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 3:05 a.m., a citizen alerted an officer to an altercation occurring in the area of York Street at Richmond Street.

Officers attended the area and two men were subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Anderson Francis (30), of Ilderton, was charged with aggravated assault, contrary to section 268(2); and weapons dangerous, contrary to section 88(1); both of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The 21-year-old male victim remains in hospital in good condition and is expected to be discharged later today.

Brandon Lord (21), of London, was charged with assault, contrary to section 266; and cause a disturbance by fighting, contrary to section 175(1)(a(i); both of the Criminal Code of Canada. The victim did not obtain medical treatment.

A 43-year-old male was transported to the hospital for injuries that he sustained and is listed in critical condition. No arrests have been made in relation to this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
