(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at approximately 8:23 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of hydro wires down at the edge of Hwy. 10, Holland Centre, in the Township of Chatsworth.
A hydro cable, which has separated from the transformer, was sparking and arcing in close proximity to the gas pumps at HC Gas Bar in Holland Centre, creating a dangerous condition. The Chatsworth Fire Department and the Ministry of Transportation were on scene while Hydro One rectified the situation.
Hwy. 10 was closed for approximately 1 hour between Sideroad 30 and Sideroad 10 for safety reasons.
