Douglas Mochrie – 115 in an 60

(GUELPH/ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) On Friday March 8, 2013 at approximately 5:30 pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting stationary radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Jones Baseline near Eastview Road in Guelph/Eramosa Twp. At this time and location police observed a southbound 2010 Cadillac Escalade travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 115km/h in a 60km/h zone. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

Douglas Mochrie age 30 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on April 17, 2013 to answer to the charge.
