(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking area residents to stay alert following yet another report of an attempted fraud. On June 19, 2013 at 1:20 pm, a resident in the Municipality of Kincardine called police about a letter he received stating that he was selected as a mystery shopper”. A cheque was sent with more money than he was to be paid and instructions were included to send the difference back through Western Union or Money Gram. This was correctly identified as a scam and no response was sent.
