Donna Shipley – Drunk Driving – Twice Legal Limit

(Bluewater, ON) On September 21, 2010 at approximately 10:00 am, a Huron OPP officer was patrolling northbound on London Road when the officer observed a southbound vehicle that repeatedly struck the gravel shoulder. The officer initiated a traffic stop and immediately upon speaking to the driver, could detect signs of the driver being impaired by alcohol.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron OPP Detachment where she met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician to provide two samples of her breath. The results confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol level more than two times above the legal limit of 80 milligrams.

As a result of the traffic stop and investigation, Donna SHIPLEY (66) of Lucan Biddulph has been charged with one count of Impaired Driving and one count if Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She will answer to her charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on November 25, 2010. Her licence has been suspended for 90 days as per statute.
