Donald Elliott – No Interlock Device, No Insurance, No Plates

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday December 06, 2011 shortly before the noon hour an OPP officer on patrol in Shakespeare became suspicious of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was missing a front license plate. The Jeep was pulled over and while checking the driver and the vehicle documentation a number of violations were discovered. As a result of these violations charges were laid.

Donald Elliott (52) of Kitchener was charged with “drive motor vehicle not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device while prohibited from doing so”, “operate a motor vehicle without insurance”, and “drive motor vehicle, fail to display two plates”. He has been summonsed to appear in Stratford Court on January 10, 2012 to answer to these charges. The Jeep was towed from the scene and impounded for a period of seven days.
