Donald Cousins – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Sunday September 15, 2012, after 11 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer was informed of a traffic complaint involving a pickup truck crossing the centre line of Perth Road 119 near Gads Hill.

A short time later the officer observed the suspected pickup truck near Millbank and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted that he had been drinking alcohol.

Donald COUSINS (51), from the Township of Perth East failed Intoxilyzer breath tests at the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel and as a result was charged with “impaired operation of a motor vehicle’, and with “operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of blood alcohol”. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on October 22, 2012 to answer to these charges. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
