Domestic Dispute

On the 4th of September 2014 at approximately 11:30pm, police responded to a call in the cities south-east end in regards to a domestic dispute.

It is alleged the 24 year old accused male returned home from work and attended the residence of his girlfriend. A verbal argument ensued after the male knocked on the door, caused the dog to bark, which may have awoken the children. The argument spilled out onto the front lawn after the accused male took the victims keys and threw them on the lawn. While arguing on the front lawn, the male grabbed the female victim and threw her to the ground. The male then proceeded in the residence and began to collect his personal belongings.

The verbal dispute continued as the female and male were unable to agree on what personal belongings were the property of the male. The male then threatened to cause damage to the property of the female at which time he left the residence and boarded his vehicle. The male drove up on the lawn, drove over the garbage can and proceeded to drive down the street in an erratic fashion.

Police were able to locate the vehicle a short distance from the residence and arrest the male. During the arrest officers discovered the male to be in possession of a pellet gun. The male was under a probation and weapons prohibition not to possess a firearm.

The accused male was held for bail and now faces assault, uttering threats, dangerous driving, breach probation and breach of a weapons prohibition.
