On October 8th, 2014 a victim of Domestic Assault reported to the Barrie Police Service that her former partner had assaulted her two days earlier. It was alleged that that the victim and the accused, a 29 year old man of no fixed address, got involved in a heated argument over relationship issues. The accused grabbed the victim and began throwing her around the apartment until her brother intervened. The accused was on two separate probation orders not to be with the victim and to keep the peace.
On October 9th, 2014 the accused was located in downtown Barrie. He was arrested and charged with Assault and four counts of Breaching his Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
