Domestic Assault – 2X Assault, Forcible Confinement, Threats

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County OPP arrested a 44 year old male yesterday in relation to a domestic assault occurrence in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh. Officers responded to the 9-1-1 call for assistance just after 1:30 p.m.

Officers learned the victim had been assaulted by her common-law partner. The 30 year old victim sustained minor injuries from the assault. Further investigation revealed the victim had been threatened by her partner.

A 44 year old male from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with two counts of Assault, one count of Uttering Threats and one count of Forcible Confinement. He remains in custody with a court date scheduled for March 18, 2013 at Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
