Dog Owner Flees Area After 9 Year Old Bitten In Victoria Park

On Thursday June 9, 2016 at approximately 5:45 p.m., a 9 yr old boy was bitten in Victoria Park in Kitchener by a dog near the clock tower. The child received several puncture wounds to his leg requiring medical attention. The owner of the dog left the area with the dog prior to police arrival. They were last seen in the area of Peter Street and Church Street. The police are requesting the owner of the dog to please come forward so the dogs medical records can be obtained. The dog is described as a larger brown/tan dog, there was a second similar dog with it. The owner described as a white male in his 30s wearing a red sweater and jeans.
