Doctor Facing More Sexual Assault Charges – More Victims Start To Come Forward

As a result of a media release communicated to the public on December 1, 2016 and an ongoing police investigation three more female victims have come forward disclosing that they were sexually assaulted by Doctor Pierre Picard.

These historical offences were reported to have occurred between 2015 and 2016.

On December 14, 2016 Doctor Pierre Picard was arrested and five new charges have been laid. He was released on a Promise to Appear in court.

Charged: Dr. Pierre Picard, 48 years of Dundas, Ontario

Charges: Sexual Assault (x5)

The Hamilton Police Service Victims of Crime Unit continues to investigate and believe that there may be more victims that had contact with Dr. Pierre Picard. Hamilton Police Lay Charges in Sexual Assault

In August of 2016, the Hamilton Police Service Sexual Assault Unit received a report of a sexual assault involving a female victim who reported that she was sexually assaulted by her Doctor in June 2016. During the course of this investigation, police investigators received another report from a second female victim who also reported being sexually assaulted by the same Doctor in July of 2016.

On November 30, 2016, the accused was arrested, charged and later released on a recognizance.

Charged: Dr. Pierre Picard, a 48 year old man from Dundas, Ontario
