(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying a suspect in an assault. On Friday, August 5, 2016, around 6:00 p.m., woman was at Innisfil Beach Park when she was seen slapping a child, believed to be her daughter. A witness confronted the woman and took a picture of her. The suspect had left the scene by the time officers arrived. She is described as South Asian, about 30-40 years of age with dark hair. PC Jeff Fawcett wants to speak to the suspect, and is asking anyone who can identify her to call him at 705-436-2141, x1430.
